Description
The Alliedstar AS 260 is a wired intraoral scanner developed by Alliedstar, a Chinese dental technology company acquired by Straumann Group in 2023. It builds on the earlier AS 100 with a significantly refined modern design, improved scanning colour texture, and software improvements through the AS Connect platform.
The AS 260 weighs 175g and features duo scan buttons positioned on both sides of the handpiece, allowing operation regardless of grip orientation. It is calibration-free, eliminating the need for a separate calibration tool. The scanner connects via a single USB cable and exports in STL, PLY, and OBJ formats for compatibility with most CAD/CAM and laboratory systems.
The AS Connect software platform supports restorative, implant, and orthodontic workflows, with cloud storage and no subscription fees. Tips are autoclavable up to 100 cycles for standard size, and 60 cycles for small size.
