Description
The Medit i900 Classic is Medit's flagship intraoral scanner, launched in 2024. It prioritises miniaturisation and weight reduction over wireless capability, resulting in one of the lightest mainstream intraoral scanners available at 165g.
The scanner features a unibody construction with no joints, and replaces traditional scan buttons with a touch interface. A 360-degree touch band around the body initiates and terminates scans, while a square touchpad allows real-time manipulation of scan data on screen without removing gloves or returning to the keyboard. LED indicators provide scan status feedback throughout the workflow.
The third-generation optical engine uses 10-bit colour imaging, capturing over one billion colour values for accurate colour reproduction and enhanced performance when scanning reflective surfaces and soft tissue. Full-arch accuracy is rated at 10.9 µm. A wider field of view compared to previous Medit models supports efficient data capture with fewer passes.
The scanner connects via a single USB-C cable with no hub or calibration required. Tip sizes are available in small, medium, and large; small tips are not included in the standard bundle.
Operates within the full Medit open software ecosystem via Medit Link and Medit Scan for Clinics, with no mandatory subscription fees.
