Description

The SprintRay NanoWash is an advanced, fully automated dental 3D print washing and drying system designed to streamline post-processing in dental practices and laboratories. Featuring six-minute wash-and-dry cycles, precision jetting, whirlpool cleaning, sealed RFID-enabled solvent tanks, and intelligent cloud-connected workflows, NanoWash makes cleaning 3D-printed dental appliances faster, easier, and more consistent.

Designed for compatibility with SprintRay NanoPrint and the SprintRay Pro 2 Arch Kit, NanoWash allows printed appliances to be washed directly on their build platforms without requiring removal. An interchangeable washing basket also supports fully submerged cleaning of multiple printed parts.

Its compact design, enclosed washing chamber, and automated drying make NanoWash an ideal solution for modern chairside digital dentistry.

Key Features

  • Automated Six-Minute Wash and Dry: Completes washing and drying in one enclosed cycle for supported dental resin workflows.

  • Direct Build Platform Washing: Compatible with SprintRay NanoPrint and SprintRay Pro 2 when using the Arch Kit, allowing printed parts to remain attached to the build platform.

  • Interchangeable Washing Basket: Fully submerges multiple printed appliances for higher-volume washing.

  • Precision Jetting Technology: Directed solvent jets help remove residual resin from undercuts, margins, intaglio surfaces, and support gaps.

  • Whirlpool Cleaning Action: Dynamic solvent circulation reaches complex geometries without manually rotating printed parts.

  • Sealed Washing Chamber: Rubberised perimeter seals contain solvent within the chamber during washing and drying.

  • Integrated Drying: Printed parts are automatically dried inside the same enclosed chamber.

  • Hot-Swappable Solvent Tanks: Replace sealed solvent tanks without manually transferring solvent between open containers.

  • RFID Solvent Identification: Automatically recognises the installed solvent tank and its associated washing settings.

  • Solvent Condition Monitoring: Displays solvent level, condition, and tank information to simplify maintenance.

  • Open and Assigned Tank Modes: Choose between general-purpose washing or dedicating tanks to individual resin materials.

  • Rear Exhaust System: Directs solvent fumes away from the operator, with optional extended exhaust routing.

  • Intelligent Job Handoff: Automatically transfers compatible material information from NanoPrint to NanoWash.

  • Cloud-Connected Software: Supports material-specific washing profiles, remote cycle monitoring, and software updates.

  • Compact Design: Forms part of SprintRay's space-saving Nano ecosystem.

Compatible Washing Configurations

One of NanoWash's most useful features is its flexibility. It supports three practical washing configurations depending on the printer and production requirements.

1. SprintRay NanoPrint – Direct Build Platform Washing

NanoWash is designed to integrate directly with SprintRay NanoPrint.

Once printing is complete, the NanoPrint build platform can be transferred straight into NanoWash with the printed appliances still attached.

The washing chamber seals around the platform, allowing the complete washing and drying process to take place without removing individual parts.

This reduces manual handling and makes NanoWash particularly suitable for single-patient chairside workflows.

2. SprintRay Pro 2 – Arch Kit Compatibility

NanoWash also supports SprintRay Pro 2 when equipped with the compatible Arch Kit.

The Pro 2 Arch Kit build platform fits directly into NanoWash, allowing printed appliances to remain attached during washing.

This makes NanoWash an attractive option for existing SprintRay Pro 2 users looking to upgrade their post-processing workflow.

Important: Direct Pro 2 build platform compatibility is specified for the Arch Kit, not the standard Pro 2 build platform.

3. Washing Basket – Fully Submerged Cleaning

NanoWash includes a basket washing configuration for cleaning printed appliances after they have been removed from their build platform.

The removable basket allows multiple printed parts to be fully submerged in solvent during the washing cycle.

Whirlpool circulation and precision jetting help reach exposed surfaces and complex geometries without manually rotating each appliance.

Basket washing is particularly useful for:

  • Higher-volume production

  • Multiple dental models or appliances

  • Printed parts

You can switch the washing basket for the platform washing configuration, depending on the clinical application.

Advanced Precision Jetting and Whirlpool Cleaning

NanoWash combines two mechanical cleaning technologies to remove residual uncured resin from dental appliances.

Precision Jetting

Directed solvent jets target difficult-to-clean areas, including restoration margins, undercuts, internal appliance surfaces, and spaces between support structures.

Whirlpool Effect

A moving solvent vortex circulates around submerged printed parts, helping reach surfaces that conventional soaking methods may not clean as effectively.

Together, these technologies are designed to deliver consistent cleaning across a range of dental geometries.

Following washing, the system automatically dries the printed appliances within the same chamber.

Intelligent RFID-Enabled Solvent Management

NanoWash uses removable, sealed solvent tanks rather than a conventional open washing reservoir.

Each tank features RFID identification and stores information about its assigned settings and cycle history.

The system recognises the installed tank and displays its solvent level and condition before starting a washing cycle.

Hot-Swappable Solvent Tanks

Tanks can be removed and replaced without manually pouring solvent between open containers.

This simplifies material changes, reduces routine solvent handling, and makes maintenance more convenient.

The tanks incorporate UV protection and rubber seals for additional durability and solvent containment.

Open Mode

Open Mode allows the same solvent tank to be used across different compatible resin workflows.

This is useful when flexibility and production throughput are priorities.

Assigned Mode

Assigned Mode allows a solvent tank to be dedicated to one particular resin material.

This helps minimise pigment carryover and cross-contamination between different materials and shades.

Sealed Washing and Integrated Drying

NanoWash features an enclosed chamber with rubberised perimeter seals designed to contain solvent during operation.

Unlike conventional washing stations that require separate drying procedures, NanoWash completes both washing and drying in the same chamber.

An integrated rear exhaust directs solvent fumes away from the operator.

An optional extended exhaust connection can route the exhaust outside the building or to a suitable air purification system.

This design helps improve solvent management and reduce odours within the working environment.

Appropriate ventilation and safe solvent handling remain necessary.

Automated Software and Job Handoff

NanoWash integrates with SprintRay's connected software ecosystem.

When used with NanoPrint, SprintRay Job Handoff transfers case and material information directly to NanoWash.

The system can then automatically select the appropriate washing programme, including material-specific wash times and agitation settings.

Additional software features include:

  • Automatic solvent tank identification

  • Material-specific washing programmes

  • Cloud-updated washing profiles

  • Remote cycle monitoring

  • Connected job management

  • Manual programme overrides when required

Users can monitor supported washing operations through compatible laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

Part of the SprintRay Nano Ecosystem

NanoWash forms part of SprintRay's integrated Nano Series, consisting of three connected devices.

SprintRay NanoPrint

A compact dental 3D printer featuring a 385 nm light engine, 35 µm Optical Panel, and heated build platform for single-patient production.

SprintRay NanoWash

An automated washing and drying system with sealed solvent tanks, precision jetting, whirlpool cleaning, and intelligent washing profiles.

SprintRay NanoCure

A compact, dual-wavelength, nitrogen-free post-curing system designed to complete validated dental resin workflows.

Together, the three systems occupy approximately 72 cm (28.3 inches) of counter space, representing a 40% reduction in counter space compared with SprintRay's previous comparable workflow.

The connected ecosystem is designed to streamline the complete process from printing through washing and final curing.
