Product details

Description

TruAbutment ioConnect is a digital implant scanning system designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of full-arch and multi-implant workflows. It integrates with most intraoral scanners and CAD design platforms as an open-system solution, without locking users into a specific ecosystem.

The system uses elongated horizontal scan bodies and specialised caps to capture implant and soft-tissue positions reliably. By limiting the scan to a focused hexagon area around each scan body, ioConnect reduces stitching errors and minimises extraneous scan data, improving the precision of full-arch digital impressions compared to conventional full-arch scanning approaches.

Multiple cap sizes (S, M, L) are available to accommodate different implant positions and patient anatomies. Each kit includes 12 scan bodies of varying lengths. Compatible with any open dental CAD software for data import and prosthetic design.

Key Features

Open-System Implant Scanning

ioConnect is compatible with most intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM platforms, allowing clinics and laboratories to integrate the system into existing digital workflows without vendor restrictions.

Designed for Full-Arch and Multi-Implant Accuracy

Developed to address the accuracy challenges of long-span and full-arch implant cases, where stitching distortion and cumulative scan errors are more common.

Elongated Horizontal Scan Bodies

Uses low-profile, horizontally oriented scan bodies that improve scanner visibility and reduce interproximal shadowing. This design provides stable geometric references to minimise stitching errors.

Soft-Tissue Registration Caps

Includes specialised caps that assist in capturing soft-tissue contours and emergence-profile relationships during the scanning process.

Accuracy-Focused Workflow

Aims to improve trueness and precision in digital implant impressions by reducing scan area requirements and limiting cumulative stitching during full-arch image acquisition.

Complete Multi-Length Kit

Each kit contains 12 scan bodies in various lengths to accommodate different implant depths, angulations, and clinical scenarios.

Integration With Digital Implant Workflows

Supports export to standard CAD/CAM systems for restorative design, surgical planning, and lab manufacturing. Scan data can be used for frameworks, prosthetics, and verification jigs.

Intended Users

Suitable for implant clinicians, prosthodontists, oral surgeons, and dental laboratories performing full-arch or multi-unit implant restorations within a digital workflow.
